Looking Back to 2016: A Year of Prayer

• A year of preparation and empowerment for what is to come in and through us—Isaiah 61:1-4

• Empowered for a purpose: v. 1-2

• To what end? The restoration of God’s people: v. 3

• To what end? Two things:

o The glorification of God: v. 3
o The restoration of the ruined & devastated: v. 4

• Individuals, Families, Cities, Society

• Since the Fall of Man (Genesis 3), God’s heart has been to restore His people back to Him

o Prayer is the way that we have been getting ready to participate in that restoration

• Remember (and put into practice) what we have learned!

o The Jesus Way of Prayer; Romans; Worship; Spiritual Gifts; Prayer Paths; Kingdom Power; Rebuilding the Ruins

A Sneak Peek at 2017: A Year of Restoration

Isaiah 61:1-4—in action! Time to move out!

• Key Scripture: Psalm 126:1-6

• Three key elements of the year for TLC

o Personal/family restoration
o Restoration of His Church
o Restoration of the World

• Restoration is active and requires our participation and stewardship of what the Lord has entrusted to us

o What can you give of your time, talent, and treasure to see restoration in these areas?

• Much more to come on this in coming weeks!

Pressing into Kingdom Restoration through Prayer

• Jesus prayed. All. The. Time. Mark 1:35-45

o Then he brought restoration everywhere He went. We should do likewise!

• Seek the Lord about what He wants to do in and through you in the three areas.

o How does He want to restore you individually? How about your family?

o How does He want to restore the Church? And how will you be part of that?

o What does He want to do to restore the world around you? What part do you have to play in that?

• Listen to the Lord in how He is calling you to steward your time, talent, and treasure

• Participate in our 21-day “Daniel’s Breakthrough” fast from January 15th- February 4th

• As we pray, let’s be prepared to be both recipients and agents of Kingdom restoration in the year to come!

• We’ve prayed – and will continue to – but now let’s get ready to move!
