10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Romans 3:10-12 (ESV)
Don’t give up ‘cause time’s not up!
15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15 (ESV)
1 Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1 (ESV)
2 And I will make of you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. Genesis 12:2 (ESV)
11 And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. Luke 1:11 (ESV)
12 And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. Luke 1:12 (ESV)
13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard,
and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. Luke 1:13 (ESV)
18 And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” 19 And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.” Luke 1:18-20 (ESV)
When our physical limitation overshadows God’s personal invitation, it leads to devastation.
What if…
• Zechariah, because of his age, had given up?
• Christ, because of the Cross, had backed up?
• Paul, because of his thorn, had shut up?
• You, because of your journey, give up?
It’s time to come home!
