II. God knows

fully (1 Cor. 2:10)

“For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.” —1 Cor. 2:10

III. God knows all things


a. All things (Ps. 147:5; Isa. 40:28; John 21:17; Heb. 4:13; 1 Jn. 3:20)

“Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.” —Ps. 147:5

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.” —Isa. 40:28

“Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” —John 21:17

“And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” —Heb. 4:13

“God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.” —1 Jn 3:20

b. All things actual –

(1 Sam. 23:11-13; 2 Ki. 13:19; Matt. 11:21, 23)

“‘Will the men of Keilah surrender me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? O Lord, the God of Israel, please tell your servant.’ And the Lord said, ‘He will come down.’ Then David said, ‘Will the men of Keilah surrender me and my men into the hand of Saul?’ And the Lord said, ‘They will surrender you.’” —1 Sam. 23:11-12

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.” —Matt. 11:21-23
