I. When you think about your dad, what memories do you have of situations where he showed you love, mercy and/or grace?

II. In what specific ways do you need to learn to be more sympathetic towards others in order to show them love, mercy and grace? Which of those three is the most difficult for you to show to others?

III. Read Hebrews 4:14-16. What parallels can you draw between the way Christ acts of behalf of believers and how we ought to act toward others? What are the differences between Christ and us?

IV. If you were presenting a lesson to young boys about fatherhood, what Bible principles or passages would you use?
