1 Peter 5:6 (MSG) So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time.

Jeremiah 29:11(NET) “For I know what I have planned for you,” says the Lord. “I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.”

John 10:10b (TPT) I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!

THE THIEF…

John 10:10a (TPT) A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy…

Luke 12:42-48 (TLB) And the Lord replied, “I’m talking to any faithful, sensible man whose master gives him the responsibility of feeding the other servants. If his master returns and finds that he has done a good job, there will be a reward—his master will put him in charge of all he owns.45 But if the man begins to think, ‘My Lord won’t be back for a long time,’ and begins to whip the men and women he is supposed to protect, and to spend his time at drinking parties and in drunkenness—46 well, his master will return without notice and remove him from his position of trust and assign him to the place of the unfaithful. 47 He will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty he refused to do it. 48 But anyone who is not aware that he is doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, for their responsibility is greater.”

THE THIEF’S TOOLS…

1 -

Proverbs 13:4a (NLT) Lazy people want much but get little…

2 -

Proverbs 25:28 (MSG) A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out.

3 -

Proverbs 11:2a (NIV) When pride comes, then comes disgrace…

THE LADDER OF PROMOTION…

1 - the temptation for
.

Proverbs 25:6-7 (MSG) Don’t work yourself into the spotlight; don’t push your way into the place of prominence. It’s better to be promoted to a place of honor than face humiliation by being demoted.

2 - Be with what you have been .

Zechariah 4:10a (NLT)  Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…

1 Peter 5:5-6 (TPT)  In the same way, the younger ones should willingly support the leadership of the elders. In every relationship, each of you must wrap around yourself the apron of a humble servant. Because: God resists you when you are proud but multiplies grace and favor when you are humble. 6 If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands.

3 - your promotional motives.

Genesis 39:5 (NLT) From the day Joseph was put in charge of his master’s household and property, the Lord began to bless Potiphar’s household for Joseph’s sake. All his household affairs ran smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished.

Proverbs 11:11 (TPT) The blessing of favor resting upon the righteous influences a city to lift it higher, but wicked leaders tear it apart by their words.
