Four must-have attitudes when “IT” happens…

Consider that…
• Trouble comes to

• Outlook determines
13 Those (seeds that fell) on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. And, that “the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance” Luke 8:13, 15 (ESV)
• Attitude determines
2 Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 (ESV)

• Faith is
3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. James 1:3 (NLT)
• Testing works
7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—1 Peter 1:7 (NLT)
• Trials rightly used
3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, Romans 5:3-4 (ESV)

4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. James 1:4 (NLT)

5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. James 1:5-8 (NLT)
12 God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 (NLT)
