Message Notes

“In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel saw a dream and visions of his head as he lay in his bed. Then he wrote down the dream and told the sum of the matter.” —Daniel 7:1

What is an Anti-Christ?

  • He will speak out against the Most High.
  • He will try to oppress God’s people.
  • He will try to change the calendar and the legal system.
  • He will dominate the world for three and a half years of a seven-year period of tribulation.
  • In the end, God will destroy him forever.

“the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire. A stream of fire issued and came out from before him; a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened.” —Daniel 7: 9-10

“I looked then because of the sound of the great words that the horn was speaking. And as I looked, the beast was killed, and its body destroyed and given over to be burned with fire.” —Daniel 7:11

“But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed to the end.” —Daniel 7:26

“I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away,
and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.” —Daniel 7:13-14

“For the Lord declares, ‘I have placed my chosen king on the throne in Jerusalem, on my holy mountain.’ The king proclaims the Lord’s decree:
‘The Lord said to me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your Father. Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession. You will break them with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots.’” —Psalm 2:6-9

What Can We Learn from This Vision?

  • God is sovereign over every detail of the future.

  • The God who has mapped out the details of the future is able to handle the issues of the present.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” —Romans 8:28

  • While the world may appear to be a big, messy puzzle, God is unfolding a perfect plan.

“And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” —Daniel 7:27
