The Peace Trifecta

Peacemakers - Part 3
11.18/19.18

In order to be a peacemaker we have to perpetuate peace. In order to perpetuate peace, we have to have peace.

“Do your best to live in peace with everyone.” —Romans 12:18 EXB

Peace with

Jesus wrote the treaty with the blood of His cross. That treaty, that bond, that covenant of peace declares the objective fact that we now are at peace with Him.

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God.” —Romans 5:1

“…made peace through the blood of His cross… And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach.” —Colossians 1:20b-22 ESV

Peace with

  1. God
  2. Get the out of your eye

1 Do not judge and criticize and condemn, so that you will not be judged. 2 For just as you judge others, so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure, judgment will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice and acknowledge the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me get the speck out of your eye,’ when there is a log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite (pretender), first get the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” —Matthew 7:1-5 EXP

  1. Gently guide with grace
