1. our Gospel story

We must remember we were once

- (v. 1-3)

1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.

We must remember

gave us life (v. 4-6)

4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

-Colossians 2:13-15

We must remember

God gave us life (v. 7)

7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

-Isaiah 43:7

We must remember

we received life (v. 8-9)

8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.

We must remember

we do with the life we have been given

10For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Good Deeds without the Good News of the Gospel really aren’t that Good
The Good News of the Gospel without Good Deeds really isn’t Good News at all.

-James 2:14-16

2. our view of those without the Gospel

Dead People:
-Walk around like regular people
-Don’t see each other
-Only see what the want to see
-Don’t know they are dead - Romans 10:14-16
-Are everywhere

3. our sharing of the Gospel

Well, it’s rather simple, and it’s the story that we’re all trying to tell over and over. The way we set it around the church I’m a part of is that the story God doesn’t come along to make bad people good, but to make dead people alive.
And that changes everything. When you’re not starting from a morality point, you realize that grace is extensive enough to embrace all of us, no matter where you have been, no matter what you have done. There is room in the embrace of God. That’s the whole record. It’s this longing for belonging and home and acceptance. http://www.relevantmagazine.com/culture/music/qa-david-crowder
