REAPING THANKSGIVING

Text: Ps. 103:1-5

1. The Kernel Of Forgiveness (v. 3a)

  • If a person will

and forsake their sin, God will forgive them and revoke the penalty of sin.

  • If you’ve been forgiven of your sin, take that “kernel,” plant it in your thoughts, your mind, your heart, and it will bear the fruit of thanksgiving.

2. The Kernel Of Redemption (v. 4a)

  • If we are to be redeemed from the awful sentence we’re under, we must admit our guilt and admit that paid the debt of our guilt.
  • Think on your redemption and sing – “Thank you Lord, for saving my soul…”

3. The Kernel Of (v. 3b)

  • God doesn’t heal everyone who has an “incurable” disease, but three important principles are pointed to in this verse.

    1)

    healing is divine healing

    2) God doesn’t heal

    ’s diseases

    3) God heals the diseased

    • The main truth is revealed in the fact that the Psalmist is speaking to his soul. “Bless the Lord, O my soul who heals all your diseases.”

4. The Kernel Of Love And
(v. 4b)

  • Think how much God loves you. How thankful are you for His love?

5. The Kernel of
and Renewal. (v. 5)

Bottom line: When I sow into my thinking the of God’s blessings, I reap in my heart the of thanksgiving.
