Scripture: 2 Kings 19:14-37


I. is our only resource against the impossible (2 Kings 19:14-19)


“Hezekiah’s petition is one of the finest prayers in Scripture.”


a. who God is (2 Kings 19:15)

“You do not have because you do not ask.” —James 4:2


“If you can! All things are possible for the one who believes.” —Mark 9:23

“I believe; help my unbelief!” —Mark 9:24


b. what’s going on (2 Kings 19:16-18)


c. His deliverance (2 Kings 19:19)


II. Cling to the of God’s Word in impossible times (2 Kings 19:20-34)

10 promises:
1. That if you delight yourself in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4)
2. That if we believe in Jesus we will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)
3. That there is no condemnation for the one in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:1)
4. To work all things together for good for those who love God (Rom. 8:28)
5. That if we bring our anxieties to Him in prayer, He will give us His peace (Phil. 4:6-7)
6. To meet all our need (Phil. 4:19)
7. That if you lack wisdom, ask and it will be given to you (James 1:5)
8. That if we resist the devil, he will flee from us, and if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us (James 4:7-8)
9. That God will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5)
10. To forgive our sin every time we confess (1 John 1:9)


III. All things are with God (2 Kings 19:35-37)
