Everyday Jesus: Ephesians 6:18-20 Praying in the Spirit
We put on the Whole Armor of God by Praying in the Spirit.
. Monday: In vv18-20 To Pray in the Spirit, we pray under the direction of the Spirit and aligining with God’s Word. So, today, read and pray through Jude 17-23 and Romans 8:26-27. Pay attention to the insight we get from praying in the Spirit from both of these passages. After reading these passaged, express to God, in prayer, your profound need for Him in your life.
. Tuesday: Pray in the spirit at “all times”. Make a covenant with God to read your Bible at least 2x a day for at least 5 minutes, before you pray. Today, read Psalms 27, think just about v.1 as it relates to your life, let those thoughts lead you into prayer.
. Wednesday: We are to pray with “all prayer & supplications”. There are different types of prayers, for different challenges in life. Today read Psalm 27:1 again, pray and petition God through the truth of that verse.
. Thursday: Keep alert with all perserverance in prayer. Prayer is where we engage our thoughts & mind with God. Today, read and think deeply on the words of Psalms 27:1-6. How do they fit within the context of your life? Thank God for being your light and for saving your life. Think deeply on what God has saved you from. Think of what you fear. Keep your mind engaged in God’s Word as you pray and think on each of these six verses.
. Friday: Do you care that people you know are struggling or even worse, that they might be going to hell? Today, pray for the concerns of those that live in your house and then for your friends and loved ones, whose struggles or concerns you are aware of.
. Saturday: With great humility, Paul didn’t take his continued boldness for the Lord nor that he would know what to say for granted. Today, read Ephesians 6:18-20 several times asking God to give you both the boldness for Christ and the ability to speak as you should for Christ. o. to Read Ephesians 6:17. God’s Word is the Spirit”s Sword. Read Hebrews 4:12-13. Pray that God’s living word be an irreplaceable source of attacking and defeating schemes aimed at your life.
