MY STORY
How do you typically react in a sudden, extreme, pressure-filled crisis? What causes you to get flustered?

QUICK REVIEW
During Sunday’s message, Randy said, “In a culture that celebrates independence and self-sufficiency, we as Christ-Followers need to learn that God created us to live dependent on Him – His power, His grace, and His provision.” How easy or difficult is it to balance out our independence with our dependence?

DIGGING DEEPER
READ 2 Chronicles 7:14
This verse gives very clear instructions on how we can experience forgiveness of sin and healing of our land. How are these instructions counter cultural today?

READ 2 Peter 1:3-9
Peter gives us a very clear pathway to living a godly and productive life in Christ. Follow the pathway from verse 3 through verse 8. Talk about the rewards of following this path and the results of not following it.

READ Philippians 4:8-9
What are some ways that we can train or retrain our minds to think on more noble things? What steps do we need to take in order to make this happen?

TAKING IT HOME

Attend the Weekend Experience consistently
a. Show up on time, ready to engage
b. Participate in the singing and other worship elements
c. Listen to the message through the filter of “What is my next step?”
Pray regularly throughout the day
a. Develop a habit of beginning/ending your day in prayer
b. Set reminders to pray for people or events throughout the day
Take bold next steps that move you out of your comfort zone
a. Make plans to go on a mission trip
b. Identify applications for your life from the messages and small group studies
c. Be welcoming to people that you do not know during the Worship Experience
Be selective in what you watch, listen to, say and do
a. Set some guardrails or boundaries in your life to protect your eyes and ears from ungodly influences
b. Leverage your accountable relationships to consistently check your habits, activities and behaviors
c. Identify and eliminate things that trigger negative actions
Remind yourself, daily, that you are dependent on God for everything in life and thank Him for His provisions
