  • AND THE EXAMPLE HE CAME SHOW WAS THAT THE PATH TO TRUE AND EVERLASTING LIFE ALWAYS BEGINS WITH HUMILITY

Philippians 2:5-8 “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross”

  • JESUS SHOULD HAVE LIVED IN GLORY, BUT HE LOWERED HIMSELF AND BECAME HUMAN

  • THE WORLD SHOULD HAVE RECOGNIZED HIM, BUT HE HAD A HUMBLE BIRTH

  • JESUS SHOULD HAVE COME TO CONDEMN US BUT INSTEAD HE CAME AND GAVE GRACE

John 3:17- “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him”

  • JESUS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SERVED, BUT HE ALWAYS SERVED OTHERS

  • JESUS SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOVED BUT INSTEAD HE EXTENDED LOVE

  • JESUS SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST BUT HE CHOSE UNDESERVING MEN.

  • JESUS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO WHATEVER HE WANTED BUT HE LAID DOWN HIS DESIRES TO BE OBEDIENT

  • JESUS SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED THE BLESSING OF LIVING A RIGHTEOUS LIFE BUT HE GAVE HIS LIFE ON THE CROSS

1 Corinthians 5:21 “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

John 13:12-15 “When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you”
