There are some things that only Jesus can do. One of those is to totally and eternally transform a person. When Jesus steps into a life, the old has gone, and the new has come. That which was broken is made whole. That which was hopeless is hopeful. When we meet Jesus, nothing again will be the same. He was, is, and is to come!

God’s promises brought hope.

• Be careful, keep calm, don’t be afraid, and do not lose heart!—7:4
• Stand firm.—7:9
• Emmanuel—God is with us!—8:10
• Nevertheless…No more gloom!—9:1
