19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19-20

19 For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. 20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. 21 To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. 23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. —1 Corinthians 9:19-27

OUR MISSION: We exist to glorify God by making more and better disciples.

For the sake of the Gospel we are called to be

  • Truth sets us

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. —John 8:31-32, 36

  • Freedom from

    and

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. —Romans 8:1-2

  • Freedom to serve

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. —1 Peter 2:16

  • Freedom to serve

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. —Galatians 5:13

For the sake of the Gospel we are called to be

We can never achieve any kind of success in evangelism or friendship without speaking the same language and thinking the same thoughts as the other person…One of our greatest necessities is to learn the art of getting along with people; and so often the trouble is that we do not even try. —William Barclay
