November Prayer Focus
Earnest Disciplined Prayer
1 Peter 4:7-8
7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
Monday / Living a Generous Life
Father we pray,
Philippians 4:15 “You became my partners in giving.”
Heb. 13:16 "Keep doing good and sharing your resources."
Father, we thank you for teaching us to live generously through fellowship, community, and giving. You are our greatest example of generosity for "YOU LOVED THE WHOLE WORLD SO MUCH THAT YOU GAVE YOUR ONLY SON, JESUS.” We desire to be more like you! Your word says, "Give generously, and do so without a grudging heart, then because of this, the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to." Help us to give of our time, energy, and resources. Willingly and cheerfully, so that we can live fruitful lives as we invest in others and in the Kingdom of God In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Tuesday / What Have We Learned
Father we pray,
Deut. 11:2 "Remember today what you have learned about the Lord through your experiences with Him."
Father God, as we look back over the past 6 weeks, we want to say how thankful we are for everything we have experienced. Your love has been expressed on so many different levels – from deeper relationships to reaching out to others within the church. As well as in our community. We realize this is not just a one-time experience. But how you want us to live on a daily basis. Help us to continue to look out for the interests of others as we fulfill your command to love you with all our heart, mind, strength, and soul and to love our neighbors as ourselves. These things we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Wednesday / Light
Father we pray,
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world–like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
We pray that Arab will be a city set on a hill, a light shining in the darkness. We ask you to set Arab apart for your glory and use this city to be a lighthouse drawing others to you. Strengthen and unite the local churches for your glory, tear down the walls that separate us, and eradicate the sin that hinders us. In Jesus name, Amen.
Thursday / Prosperity
Father we pray,
Jeremiah 29:5-7 5 “Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens and eat the food they produce. 6 Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away! 7 And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”
We pray for the peace, prosperity, and blessing of God upon Arab. We ask you to multiply our families, homes, businesses, and endeavors. Help us to build, plan, plant, and provide a city that honors God and blesses the individuals who call it home. In Jesus name, Amen.
Friday / Authority
Father we pray,
1 Timothy 2:1-6 1 “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.”
We pray for everyone who calls Arab their home. We ask you to help them and intervene on their behalf. We thank you for this city and for those who are in authority. We ask you to give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to lead our great city. We pray for their salvation and deliverance from the schemes and strategies of the enemy. We decree and declare the freedom of Jesus Christ over Arab and all who enter this city. In Jesus name, Amen.
