You Can Experience God – 1 John 1:1-4

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. —1 John 5:13

And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. —1 John 2:3

Three Signs of Spiritual Life:

, Obedience, Love

Two Ways You Can Experience God

1 . Stand on the

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— —1 John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. —John 1:1–4, 14

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— —1 John 1:1

the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— —1 John 1:2

And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. —John 17:3

2 . Share Mutual

that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. —1 John 1:3

And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete. —1 John 1:4

Unshared

is incomplete joy.

If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. —John 15:10–13
