You ARE in the Right Place and the Right Time to be blessed by God
(not because of your great decisions, but because of His perfect plans)
I Samuel 29-30

King Achish’s leaders did not trust David.
David was sent back to Ziklag.

We can see God’s hand in this as it puts David, 100s of miles away from being involved in the death of God’s anointed (Saul).

When David returned, they found that the Amalekites, who King Saul was supposed to have destroyed, had raided his town, stolen their livestock and all their wives and children and burned the town.

David sought the Lord with the priest and the Urim and Thummim. (This was probably the same time that Saul was calling on a witch to call Samuel from the dead).

David found the Amalekites and killed them. Only 400 escaped on Camels. The Amalekites were not mentioned again as an opponent of Israel until the time of Hezekiah over 300 years later (716–687 B.C.; cf. 1 Chr 4:43). (Saul died 1007 B.C.).
