3 Shifts The Resurrection Brings

1 . From Dying Hope To Living

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, —1 Peter 1:3

The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. —Proverbs 10:28

Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. —John 3:3

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, —Titus 3:5

2 . From Bankruptcy To

In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. —1 Peter 1:3b–5

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. —Ephesians 2:4–5

3 . From Situational Joy To Solid

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. —1 Peter 1:6
