Acts: 2:42-47 (NIV)
*42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

“Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day. You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life.” —Dallas Willard

“Hurry is not just a disordered schedule. Hurry is a disordered heart.” —John Ortberg

“For no gladness can exist where there is no simplicity” —John Chrysostom

“And you should not call anything your own, but let all things be common to you and distributed to each one of you according to need.” —Augustine

“We hold everything in common except our wives. You Romans hold nothing in common except your wives.” —Tertullian

If we want to live with intention in the midst of chaos then we need to learn to:

1.Befriend

2.Befriend
3.Befriend

Does your calander reflect a life that prioritizes God’s word, fellowship with believers, eating meals together, and prayer?

“We just don’t know how to sit with God anymore.” —A.J. Swoboda
