Promise - A declaration or assurance that a person will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen. Oxford Dictionary

God keeps His Word…Let me show you this works…

12 Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

13 For example, there was God’s promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in his own name, saying: 14 “I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number.”

15 Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.

16 Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding.

17 God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.

18 So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.

19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. —Hebrews 6:12-18

A promise from God is a sacred and secure gift to us…not a negotiation.
We use our words…and yes, even our promises as a tool of negotiation…
Not God…He word…His promises are unchangeable…
He is faithful…and He is true!

13 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.

14 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.

15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. —1 John 5:13-15

• “YES”…“NO”…”WAIT” are all acceptable answers.
• Let go of your need to know all the answers.
• Trust that God is working everything out for your good.

28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. —Romans 8:28
15 But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord. —Joshua 24:15
