MESSAGE TITLE: WHO are the KINGDOM BUILDERS?

Matthew 9:35-38
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Esther 4:12-17
12 So they told Mordecai Esther’s words.
13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews.
14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom (your royal position-NIV) for such a time as this?”
15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai:
16 “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
17 So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.
MAIN IDEA: A Kingdom Builder is Called of God to Make a
- A Kingdom Builder is
COMPELLED (v): forced or driven by concern/passion/&conviction to a particular course of action, often by an irresistible internal urge.
In order to be compelled you must be fueled by a BURDEN: (n): Duty, Responsibility, Sorrow, Mourning, Weight, Great Emotional Concern.
PROBLEM: We starve instead of fuel our BURDEN….How? by being Consumed by OUR Cares instead of being COMPELLED to Build God’s Kingdom.
The formula that fuels the BURDEN: Pray + Give + Go = BURDEN, which leads me to be COMPELLED.
SOLUTION: A Kingdom Builder is COMPELLED to make a difference when they are fueled by a BURDEN.
2.A Kingdom Builder is in
POSITION: sovereignly placed in position for a particular time to make a difference.
God has placed you where you are right now, where you need to be to make a difference.
PROBLEM: Making a difference as a Kingdom Builder is not a FUTURE version of ourselves.
“You have been wishing for another position where you could do something for Jesus. Do not wish anything of the kind but serve Him where you are.” —Charles Spurgeon
SOLUTION: A Kingdom Builder is in POSITION to make a difference both NOW and in the FUTURE.
3.A Kingdom Builder faces
OPPOSITION: Just because you are in POSITION does not mean you won’t face OPPOSITION.
You see it with Jesus, with Esther, anyone making a difference faces difficulty…it’s going to be scary, uncomfortable, challenging, frustrating.
PROBLEM: IF’s/An’s/BUT’s/Maybe’s. We want to make a difference as long as it’s easy.
SOLUTION: DETERMINE: A Kingdom Builder faces OPPOSITION in making a difference but they overcome SUPERNATURALLY.
4.A Kingdom Builder is
OBEDIENT: She wasn’t just COMPELLED, that’s a good start. She wasn’t just in POSITION, that’s a good start. She didn’t just overcome OPPOSITION…..NO, she actually DID IT.
PROBLEM: Intentions don’t change anything; Actions DO.
SOLUTION: A Kingdom Builder is OBEDIENT in making a difference as they move beyond INTENTIONS and into ACTIONS.
In conclusion, A Kingdom Builder is called of God to make a difference. They are COMPELLED to make a difference because they are fueled by a BURDEN. They are in a POSITION to make a difference both NOW and in the FUTURE. Though they face OPPOSITION in making a difference they overcome SUPERNATURALLY. And Kingdom Builders are OBEDIENT in making a difference as they move beyond INTENTIONS and into ACTIONS.
TODAY is the day to make a decision to be a Kingdom Builder! Take HOME a Kingdom Builder Promise Card; Take Action to be a Kingdom Builder!
