So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. —Genesis 1:27

God

all life. Therefore, every matters.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex…15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born… —Psalm 139:13-16

“This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: Judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. 10 Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor. —Zechariah 7:9-10

The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your native country…and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation…and you will be a blessing to others…All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” —Genesis 12:1-3

For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. 16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death. —Ephesians 2:14-16

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb…10 And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” —Revelation 7:9-10

Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. 4 When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. 5 But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God. —Psalm 146:3-5
