Jesus + Something = Nothing
Jesus + Nothing = Salvation

10 For there are many rebellious people who engage in useless talk and deceive others. This is especially true of those WHO INSIST ON CIRCUMCISION FOR SALVATION. 11 They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching. And they do it only for money. 12 Even one of their own men, a prophet from Crete, has said about them, “The people of Crete are all liars, cruel animals, and lazy gluttons.” 13 This is true. So reprimand them sternly to make them strong in the faith. 14 They must stop listening to Jewish myths AND THE COMMANDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM THE TRUTH. —Titus 1:10-14

17 “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. NO, I CAME TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR PURPOSE. —Matthew 5:17

16 Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.” —Galatians 2:16

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. —Ephesians 2:8-9

False teachers must be silenced and rebuked in order to protect the purity of the church.
