1 Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and trust also in me. —John 14:1

20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. —John 17:20-21

Unity matters to God!

4 So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God. 5 There may be so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. 6 But for us, There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live. 7 However, not all believers know this. Some are accustomed to thinking of idols as being real, so when they eat food that has been offered to idols, they think of it as the worship of real gods, and their weak consciences are violated. —1 Corinthians 8:4-7

9 But you must be careful so that your freedom does not cause others with a weaker conscience to stumble. 13 So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live—for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble. —1 Corinthians 8:9, 13

8 Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. 9 I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed. —Galatians 1:8-9

We have more in common with a Christian in China than we do with an unbeliever who lives next door to us. —-

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. —Ephesians 6:12

2. Our is connected to the Gospel’s

21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us SO THAT THE WORLD WILL BELIEVE YOU SENT ME. —John 17:21
