God prioritizes the relationship before the calling.
“But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.’” —Luke 10:41-42
You must be willing to do God’s will before you know His will.
“So Jesus answered them, ‘My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.’” —John 7:16-17
“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.” —Mark 8:35
Finding God’s calling is a personal process.
“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” —Philippians 2:12-13
“Then he said, ‘Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’” —Exodus 3:5
“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” —Exodus 3:11
“All of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” —1 Peter 5:5
If God calls you, He will equip you.
“Then Moses said to God, ‘If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?’” —Exodus 3:13
