Genesis 1:1-3 NIV
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
CREATION reveals His power and Nature to those who are willing to see:
Romans 1:20 NLT
20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Romans 1:21-23 NLT
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
Romans 1:28 NLT
28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.
Romans 1:32 NLT
32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
It is Foolish to Say There is No God:

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
But we understand God created it all, by faith. Only by divine power can something come from nothing.
Hebrews 11:3 NLT
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
God is the answer to when and how time began:

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

6 You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
Psalms 33:6 NLT
6 The Lord merely spoke,and the heavens were created.He breathed the word,and all the stars were born.
The observable universe is at least 137 billion light years across and still expanding.
And it is still expanding and going forth:

I am the one who made the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands I stretched out the heavens. All the stars are at my command.
Job 9:8-10 NLT
8 He alone has spread out the heavensand marches on the waves of the sea. 9 He made all the stars—the Bear and Orion,the Pleiades and the constellations of the southern sky. 10 He does great things too marvelous to understand.He performs countless miracles.
Isaiah 9:7 ESV
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end,on the throne of David and over his kingdom,to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
The Bible says God knows each star by name:

3When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,4what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? 5You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. 6You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet:
Isaiah 40:26 NIV
26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:Who created all these?He who brings out the starry host one by oneand calls forth each of them by name.Because of his great power and mighty strength,not one of them is missing.
God knows YOU by name:
Exodus 33:17 NLT
The LORD replied to Moses, “I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.”
Revelation 2:17 NLT
17 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it.
The God that created the stars calls us his “prized possession”.
James 1:17-18 NLT
17Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. 18He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
If God can create and manage the heavens I cannot see, I can trust Him with the life and future I cannot see:

1 This is what the Lord says:“Heaven is my throne,and the earth is my footstool.Could you build me a temple as good as that?Could you build me such a resting place?
Psalm 34:3 ESV
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,and let us exalt his name together!
God’s mercy for you is immeasurable when considered against the reality and expanse of the heavens He has created!
Psalm 103:11 NKJV
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
The Cross Reconciling Heaven and Earth:
Psalm 19:1 NIV
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Colossians 1:19-20 NIV
19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
