“A Bible that is falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.” - Charles Spurgeon

• As we live through the storms of life, the truth of God’s Word is an anchor for us.
• Martin Luther said that if the Bible were a ring, then Romans 8 is the diamond on top of the ring.
• How can we be sure that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus?

Paul’s in Romans

• From the very beginning, Paul has sought to give a detailed account of the Gospel.
• Paul had experienced the power of God through the Gospel and wanted people to understand how to receive it >> Romans 1:16-17 | For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Paul’s in Romans

• Chapter 1 >> Fleshly

brings judgment
• Chapter 2 >> Fleshly brings judgment
• Chapter 3:21- Chapter 4 >> in the finished work of Jesus is the only way of salvation

Through faith God fixes the problem of my:
• Chapter 5 >> Past

• Chapter 6 >> Present
• Chapter 7 >> Present

Because of what Jesus has done, there is no condemnation for those who have been united to Him. This is the message of Romans 8.

• The word condemn literally means to “pronounce guilt upon someone, to declare incurable, or to doom to punishment”. It was used when

would come down on someone.
• The reason for no condemnation is based on our in Christ alone, not upon our works >> “no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”
• The opposite of condemnation (or the real meaning of “no condemnation”) is liberation or ! Victory is only accomplished in the face of these attempted condemnations because NO ONE is more Powerful that God! He doesn’t condemn (…who can bring a charge…) because He won’t condemn His own Son.

Hear the Good News of the Gospel today: Jesus came to set you free. Don’t choose to say in your condemnation! Run to Jesus!

• Ray Pritchard >> We may stumble, we may fall, we may trip, we may make a thousand mistakes, we may sin and we do, we may get off the path, we may go astray, we may have a thousand problems, but for the believer in Jesus Christ, there is, therefore now, no condemnation because God has said it is so. You can struggle, but you’re not condemned. You can fall, but you’re not condemned. You can trip, but you’re not condemned. You can stray off the path, but you are not condemned because God has said He will not condemn those who are in Christ Jesus.
