COMPELLED TO IMPACT: How to make the right choice
Focal verse for the year:
And now I am on my way to Jerusalem, compelled by the Spirit, not knowing what I will encounter there…
But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace. —Acts 20:22, 24
What Is Faith
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. —James 2:26 KJV
We are saved by grace.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. —Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
We are saved through faith.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. —Hebrews 11:1 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. —Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.—Hebrews 11:6a ESV
Faith does not mean I know where I am going…
It means I am trusting where He is taking me.
The opposite of faith is…
I have figured it out.
The opposite of faith is…
My religious acts will make me right with God.
Faith is…
When I am right with God, I will act like God.
