THERE IS A

OBLIGATIONS: A week long, Large celebration for the wedding:
OVER COMMITTED: More guests than they had wine.
SHORTAGE AND EMBARRASSED: The efforts of people often fall short;
STRONG RECOMMENDATION: Jesus’ mother recommends Him to fix it
LOOK FOR THE COMMON: Jesus uses the common containers.

THERE IS TRANSFORMED

: (vs.6-9)
1. The Size of the containers: (20-30 gallons each X 6 = 120-180 gallons) [2400 servings of wine]
2. The Location of the containers: they were set aside having already been used for welcoming guests to wash their hands and their feet.
3. The Water is the beginning product, but Jesus takes the water of men and makes the wine of God.
4. The Wine (vs.8) represents what God does immediately in the life of anyone or anything that is surrendered to Him.

THERE ARE

: (vs.10
1. WATER POTS OF STONE Jesus is teaching that it is not the outward appearance that makes the contents acceptable or pleasant to the taste.
2. EMPTY AND FILLED UP Jesus uses whatever we make available to Him;
3. EXCEEDING AND ABUNDANTLY Jesus fills these containers with the best of the wine; beyond everyone’s expectation.
4. THE CONTENTS THAT COUNT Jesus fills our lives to the brim making the contents the talk of the event.
