
2 Peter 1:5-8
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These things are not in themselves faith,
nor are they a REPLACEMENT for faith.
They cause an enrichment OF faith.Supplement:

Peter goes on to say in v.8
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This Tells us a few things:
1) The need for growth doesn’t always reflect
2) We need to recognize there’s always room for
3) You don’t have to be
4) Faith & Discipleship is an lifelong
Col. 2:19 tells to:
[hold] on to Christ, who is the head of the body. Under Christ’s control the whole body is nourished and held together by its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God wants it to grow.
