Everyday Jesus Notes 8.28.22
August 28, 2022

Everyday Jesus: Everyday Jesus is a great way to deepen your Bible reading, prayer life & personal time with Christ.

• Monday: Read Revelation 3:7-13; This is the first time the parts of Christ that He wants to reveal to a church aren’t those John saw in his vision (1:12-16). Meditate on each of the attributes of Christ listed
• Tuesday: Read Revelation 3:7-13; 2:8-11 The church at Philadelphia, like church at Smyrna, no issue mentioned. Read the words Christ speaks to these 2 churches and share with the Lord your heart desire to live pleasing in His eyes. What are you willing to change, to live pleasing in His sight?
• Wednesday: [Day of Fasting] Read Revelation 3:7-13 The church at Philadelphia had limited power to contend with those that opposed them. Opposition didn’t stop them from keeping God’s Word or denying Christ’s name, which captures all that He is. In whatever challenges your faith, ask Christ to be your strength to keep God’s word and to hold fast to all that Christ is.
• Thursday: Read Revelation 3:7-13, Rev 1:9, 2 Pet 2:9 The enemies of the church will be made to bow down before the faithful Christian’s! The reason is because the faithful have kept Christ’s word about patient endurance.Christ set an open door in front of the church. It was an opportunity from the Lord, it was still their responsibility to walk through the door. Ask the Lord to show you the opportunity(s) He has/is setting in front of you to move forward in Him - despite the desires of those that oppose you.
• Friday: Read Revelation 3:7-13; Ps 22& 23 {1 Kings 7:21, Jer 1:18, Gal 2:9, Ps 27:4} The one that conquers will be made a pillar. In Ps 22, there’s one that will appear like the attributes Christ mentions to Philadelphia but they’ll only be a peg - not a pillar. Christ is the One all are built on in everlasting strength. Likewise those in Christ will be a pillar. Ask the Lord in prayer, can you build on me? Show me Lord, where I am a peg that needs to become a pillar.
• Saturday: Read Revelation 3:7-13 The one that overcomes becomes a pillar but also, eternally a citizen of God’s kingdom, the very possession of God that bears the name of Christ in the fullness of redemption that only comes from Christ. Today, meditate on verses 12-13 and let the Lord lead you into prayer over the reality of His promise to you (in these verses).
