THE SUSTAINMENT OF REDEMPTION
REDEMPTION DEFINED:
The action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.
The action of regaining or gaining possession of something in exchange for payment, or clearing a debt.
To buy back, to repurchase.
1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations. —Isaiah 61:1 - 4

Jesus said to them, “Have you
never read in the Scriptures:
‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.
This was the Lord’s doing, and it
is marvelous in our eyes’? —Matthew 21:42This is the ‘stone which was rejected
by you builders, which has
become the chief cornerstone.’ —Acts 4:11Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2. Redemption through the work of grace.
…And they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations. —Isaiah 61:4b
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. —1 Peter 5:10
I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth— praise to our God; many will see it and fear,and will trust in the Lord. —Psalms 40:1 - 36 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”
7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,”
8 and “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
