No Expiration Date
Luke 21:1-4
5/21/23
We all know what an expiration date is on a food item, but when it comes to giving to God and His work, there is no expiration date. What does it really mean to “give everything to God”? Giving back to God ought to be a time of celebration and thankfulness, simply returning to Him what is His. If we find ourselves living paycheck to paycheck, we may need to realign ourselves with the principle in this text to find that place of fulfillment with God.
God sees our giving.
“As Jesus looked up, He saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.” v1-2
God desires our obedience in giving.
“To obey is better than sacrifice…” 1 Samuel 15:22b
God loves our giving out of a pure heart.
“…but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” v4b
