Disciples Making Disciples
Disciples of Jesus make other disciples of Jesus.
SERMON NOTES:
APPLICATION GUIDE
DISCUSS:
Jesus is worthy of our worship in all things. In what ways beyond Sunday morning singing can Christians worship the risen Christ?
How should the supreme authority of Jesus over every other authority encourage Christians to live out their disciple-making mission?
APPLY:
When you consider the priorities of your life, what place have you given to growing as a disciple of Christ?
What place have you given to making disciples of others?
Do you find yourself doubting the good news of Jesus’s death and resurrection? When you consider that even some of the first disciples doubted when they saw Jesus face-to-face, how might that encourage you to keep trusting as you work through your doubts?
How does the ongoing presence of the Spirit impact the way you think about Jesus’s command to make disciples?
When you consider the need of the nations to hear the good news and the worthiness of Jesus of their praises, what keeps you from obeying Jesus’s command to make disciples?
COMMIT:
Who is in your life that you could be discipling? This could be someone who is not professing faith in Christ that you hope to lead to Christ, or this could be a Christian who you are seeking to help grow in their faith. And, of course, there can be more than one person!
