We continue our series on geniune salvtion, and life changing faith by focusing on the process itself. Jesus answers our questions of how does geniune salvation take place? What takes place and transitions us to life changing faith? Who begins this process and complete’s it?
Jesus taught using parables. A parable is something that is very common and understood by all to illustrate something spirital.
The Kingdom of God symbolizes the growth of the church or the individuals who make it up.
The seed is the gospel as before.
The soil represents our hearts.
The sower can be anyone, but is not named because he is not the center of the story, the gospel is.
Now let’s answer our questions.
- How does salvation actually occur? Jesus uses the illustration of a farmer. He does everything he can, he prepares the soil, and plants the seeds. What happens next is out of his control. Is. 55:11
- What takes place that transitions us to a life of changing faith? Once the seed begins to grow it goes through different stages, the blade, the head, and the then full grain. 2 Cor. 5:21
- Who begins this process and completes it? This is the most important part of it all, who. The answer is simple, the Holy Spirit. John 16:8; 16:14; 14:6
