NTRODUCTION
In CrossFit Week Three, the word of the week is “conviction”. In this message, Pastor Cory helps us understand what conviction is and what it is not. Through our faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit brings us truth, love, and peace as He empowers us to daily choose a better way - God’s way.

- Have someone from your group read John 14: 15-20 and another person read John 14: 25-27. How does Jesus introduce the Holy Spirit in these verses? What kind of relationship does he say that the Holy Spirit will have with us? What does he say the Holy Spirit will bring?
- Pastor Cory says that “the Holy Spirit is the best coach, so you might as well let him coach you”. How does this statement help you see the Holy Spirit in a different light? How does it help you understand what kind of relationship the Holy Spirit wants to have with you?
MOVING FORWARD
When we see the gift of the Holy Spirit like the best kind of coach, it helps us receive all he has for us. He doesn’t just see what you are, he sees what you are capable of. He doesn’t just see your problems, he sees your potential. The Holy Spirit doesn’t diminish your courage, he empowers you to live courageous. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus Himself and abides in you to help you become who God has created you to be.
CHANGING YOUR MIND
John 16:7-8
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.
