THE GREAT SUSTAINER

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. —Psalms 55:22

3  For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
4  But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
5  not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6  whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7  that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. —Titus 3:3 - 7

1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
4  But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5  even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6  and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7  that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8  For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. —Ephesians 2:1 - 9

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21 and having a High Priest over the house of God,
22  let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. —Hebrews 10:19 - 23

SUSTAINED BY HIS HAND

10  Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
11  “See, all your angry enemies lie there, confused and humiliated. Anyone who opposes you will die and come to nothing.
12  You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those who attack you will come to nothing.
13  For I hold you by your right hand — I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ —Isaiah 41:10 - 13

We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. —Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)

26  Help me, O Lord my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy,
27  That they may know that this is Your hand— that You, Lord, have done it! —Psalms 109:26 - 27

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. —Psalms 138:7

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. —Psalms 20:6

Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. —Psalms 17:7

They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them. —Psalms 44:3 (NLT)

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.” —Proverbs 18:10

“The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” —Psalms 9:9 (ESV)

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ —Isaiah 41:10

Why do you hold back your hand, your right hand? Take it from the folds of your garment
and destroy them! —Psalms 74:11 (NIV)

You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds and sustains me; Your gentleness [Your gracious response when I pray] makes me great. —Psalms 18:35 (AMP)

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have
gained Him the victory. —Psalms 98:1

15  The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
16  The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. —Psalms 118:15 - 16

1 Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my strong-hold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge… —Psalms 144:1 - 2a (NIV)

6  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
7  casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
10  But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
11  To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. —1 Peter 5:6 - 11
