Many have the form of faith, but like the experience with God that will allow them to build power and authority as believers. We have been taught to exchange intimacy with Christ for religion instead.
Here is just a bit of what we give up when we do.
Psalm 103:1-5
To understand the difference of Religion and Relation, we have to take a look at the relationship that caused a unique covenant with God. Up until the 3rd covenant, they all applied to the masses.
Edenic covenant Genesis 1:28-30
Noahic covenant Genesis 9:11
Abrahamic covenant Genesis 12-17 the promise suddenly becomes specific to Abraham’s seed. His offspring both of natural birth and adopted. Elevated FAVOR over all of humanity.

These are the benefits the enemy would have you forfeit with ReligionShip.
There was no precedent for this kind of intimate relationship with God so religion could not have any part. Religion involves the practice of repetition and tradition and God was doing something new with Abraham!
God was calling Abraham and us to something far greater.
James 2:22-25
Tandem: Having two things work together arranged one in front of the other.
It’s important that your faith comes first in a relationship with God.
The first commitment – faith – is confirmed by the second – duty (action) – but both must be present to maintain this relationship.
Hebrews 11:6
Churches are filled with people who say they are believing but have no relationship with Christ. Going to His church but have no connection to Him
James 2:23
God is calling you to something so much more intimate and personal than religion today. Abraham was a friend to God, and that comes with benefits!
Are you a friend of God?
Religion is man-made, sterile, lifeless and regimented even a robot could carry it out.
Know that God is seeking personal relationships with His people.
James 2:24
Doing what you said you believed, is the proof that you believed it
Revelation 3:15-16
It’s possible to hide a deep love for yourself, and a weak love for God in religion. The Pharisees were famous for it with their self-righteous conduct. Are you hiding your real lack of commitment to God by covering it with religious actions?
How well do your actions support your faith in God?
Matthew 22:37-40
Our relationship with God ought to spill over into our everyday life. Religion would limit our faith to just Sunday services.
Galatians 5:14
Peter 4:8
1 John 4:20-21
Your tolerance for me is the evidence of your love for Him. A genuine love for others naturally flows out of a love for God.
It’s the application of God’s love to others that makes us powerful as believers.
A loving relationship with others is an identifier with Jesus. It’s how He identifies His sheep, and how the world knows we are His.
John 13:34-35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Know that this entire relationship is founded on His first stepping to you in love, completely undeserving. We are to love others in the same manner! The love must come first!
Psalm 91:1-2
Because I am His friend God is my hiding place!
Psalm 91:1-2
John 15:12-14
