Text: Jude

Contend means to agonize, fight, give intense effort. We are to give this intense effort toward the faith, the doctrines handed down to us through the Scriptures. We are to give intense effort to grow in, live, share, and defend that faith.

The Bible says there is sexual immorality. And we believe the Bible, and that it is God’s Word.

All God’s “no’s” are for the good of the person and society.

We deal with the world by sharing the gospel and leave the rest to God.

The only thing that really changes a heart and mind is the gospel.

Leave it to God and carry on with the gospel. No one is getting away with anything.

We do need though to protect people in the church with right thinking and teaching, and seek to protect people outside the church with the gospel.

… the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. – 2 Peter 2:9-10

We have good news and that is what we should look and sound like when we approach the world.
