Announcements for the Week of 1.9.22
January 9, 2022

TODAY: New Series, Here and Now, Begins

We often think, worry, and speak of what might happen in the future. Much of our energy today is often focused on tomorrow. Is it possible that we’ve become so consumed with “there and then” that we’ve forgotten about the “here and now?” God’s vision for our lives and His church are fueled by what we do today, allowing us to transform our tomorrow.

TOMORROW: Perspectives on the World Christian Movement Classes Begin

Perspectives will take you on a journey, looking in-depth at the biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic aspects of God’s global plan to reconcile every nation, tribe, people, and tongue to Himself. Our Associate Pastor, Gene Jennings, will be one of the instructors.
More information and registration for the 15-week course can be found here.

If your child is in the fifth grade or under please call the church office (803.279.1555) to make an appointment to meet with our children’s pastor, Kayla Martin.

More information on baptism time and location will be provided in class.

2022 Bible Reading Plan

Together we will walk through the entire Old Testament (except Psalms and Proverbs) in 2022. Our plan is designed so that you only read for approximately 10-15 minutes each day. Our hope is to foster a daily encounter with God, both individually and as a church family, while enjoying one of the greatest gifts we have, God’s Word.
Pick up a copy of the TrueNorth Bible Reading Plan on campus, download a digital copy from our website here, or follow along through the digital resource on the TrueNorth App.
To learn how you can maximize your Bible reading time, check out these tips.

We are selling NLT Slimline Bibles for $15 and NLT LifeApp Study Bibles for $55 if you wish to read via a non-digital format.

Book Overviews: As we progress in the 2022 Bible Reading Plan together, we will be publishing a brief overview of each book. In less than 5 minutes you will have a quick grasp of what you will be reading, who wrote it, and why it was written. Our desire is that it helps you know your Bible better and get more out of your time in it.
If you would like to receive outlines as they are released, sign up here.

For the One Pledges

The mission of TrueNorth Church is to lead people into a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. Since TrueNorth launched in 2004, the words of Jesus in Luke 15 have defined who we are and what we are about. “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them – what do you do? You leave the other ninety-nine sheep in the pasture and go looking for the one that got lost until you find it” (Luke 15:4).

For The One is a two-phase capital campaign. The first phase was designed to generate $1.3 million to begin the loan process with our lender. We have completed phase one thanks to the generosity of our incredible church! In phase two, we will be generating the funds necessary for future construction costs. Our leadership team is currently praying and evaluating when the construction process will begin.

Your commitment to this goal helps us plan for our future. To complete a digital pledge card, click here or text PLEDGE to 803.279.1555.
