Welcome

Introit

Call to Worship
Leader: The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?
People: The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?
Leader: One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
People: to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. Amen.

Hymn | “For the Beauty of the Earth”

Prayer of Confession (unison)
Too late have I loved you, O Beauty ever ancient, O Beauty ever new.
Too late have I loved you! You were within me but I was outside myself, and there I sought you!
In my weakness, I ran after the beauty of the things you have made.
You were with me, and I was not with you.
The things you have made kept me from you – the things which would have no being unless they existed in you!
You have called, you have cried, and you have pierced my deafness.
You have radiated forth, you have shined out brightly, and you have dispelled my blindness.
You have sent forth your fragrance, and I have breathed it in, and I long for you.
I have tasted you, and I hunger and thirst for you.
You have touched me, and I burn for your peace. Amen.

Silent Prayer

Assurance of Pardon
Leader: The Lord waits to be gracious to you,and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.
People: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.

Gloria Patri

Scripture | Mark 14:1-9

Sermon | “Overwhelmed by God’s Beauty” - Rev.Anne K. Havrilla

Prayers of the People & The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.

Anthem | Liberty Ringers

Offering & Prayer of Dedication

Affirmation of Faith (Romans 8:1, 28, 38-39)
We believe that there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Hymn | “Jesus, I am Resting, Resting”
