Just DO it
Dying

OUR VISION for 2023 is that 1000 people will read thru the NT!

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

—James 1:22,25 (NIV)

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

—John 12:24 (ESV)

Spiritual Death

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

—Galatians 2:20 (ESV)

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

—Galatians 5:24 (ESV)

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free from sin.

—Romans 6:1-7 (ESV)

Earthly Death

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting.?”

—1 Corinthians 15:55 (ESV)

Who got the last word, oh, Death? Oh, Death, who’s afraid of you now? It was sin that made death so frightening and law-code guilt that gave sin its leverage, its destructive power. But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three—sin, guilt, death—are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ.

—1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (MSG)

“Die before you have to die. There is no chance after.” —C.S. Lewis

1- Learn His will (hear)

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

—Romans 12:2 (ESV)

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

—1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)

For this is the will of God, your sanctification:[b] that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own body[c] in holiness and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;

—1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (ESV)

For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.

—1 Peter 2:15 (ESV)

2- Do what He says (act)

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

—James 1:22 (ESV)
