“Test” 

Genesis 22:1-18 

How can you move to a new level of walking by faith in the Lord? First, be encouraged that anyone can step into a new dynamic of walking by faith through a genuine trust in the Lord. Secondly, you can expect that God will “test” you. But with each test, comes a “testimony” that He created for you to become stronger, and to allow you to help others. In the Old Testament, Abraham’s faith was tested many times, but they established him as a person of great faith.  

Faith is measured by movement. 
“Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of hi servants and his son Isaac.” V3 

When God calls you into the test, don’t forget yesterday. 

“When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it…” V9 

God has provided everything you need to pass the test. 

Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. V8 

Why the test?

God can use this test to DIRECT you. 
God can use this test to INSPECT you. 
God can use this test to PROTECT you.  
God can use this test to PERFECT you. 

Action Points: 

Be faithful with what He has told you to do. 
Realize that nothing in your life is wasted. God can use anything.
