Righteous/Righteousness —

2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” —John‬ ‭8:2-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬

Who is Jesus? —

2 Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.” 3 At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming!” 4 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? 5 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” —Matthew‬ ‭9:2-6‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬

Who is the Adulterous Woman? —

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. —Matthew‬ ‭5:27-30‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬

Who are the Pharisees? —

For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven. —Matthew‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬

Who is Right?

The Wages of Sin is

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬

Spend more time yourself by God’s Word instead of others!

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. —James‬ ‭1:22-25‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬

23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. —Ephesians‬ ‭4:23-24‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬

Put on

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, —Ephesians‬ ‭6:14‬b ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

is our Righteousness

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. —2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬

Responding in gratitude to Jesus’ gift and showing sinners God’s leads to repentance!

1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? 4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? —Romans‬ ‭2:1-4‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬
