“Revival in the church is the greatest need in the world today!” John Piper

What is the church?

• Is the church – a building?
• Is the church – a worship service?
• Is the church – a pastoral personality?
• Is the church – a place to attend?
• Is the church – a gathering?
• Is the church – a homogenous organization?
• Is the church – optional?

What is the revival?

Individual revival occurs when our hearts are

to God’s holy presence, a deep hunger and thirst to know him and to love him better. Church revival demands to prayer, the Word and to love one another as the body of Christ.

Piety (devotion) is a quality of

(religious) to acts of holiness.

The church is a gathering of

individuals who share a common in Jesus Christ, a common hope in the Kingdom of God, and a common for one another. When they assemble, they share a common to do life together, to together and the teachings of the Apostles together.

“And they devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching, and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42

Our habits (devotions) reveal what we value!

1. The Apostles
2. (Life Together)
3. of Bread
4. Prayers

The Apostle’s Teaching was:

• Christ-centric

-centric
• Kingdom-centric
-centric

Their Fellowship was:

• A Partnership
• A

Commitment
and Ministry Together

The Breaking of Bread was:

• Relational

• Relational

Prayer(s) was calling on the Lord for:

• Deliverance

• Advancement of the Kingdom Agenda.

REVIVAL HAS HAPPENED WHEN:

1. We fervently (Acts 4:31)
2. We love deeply (Acts 4:32)
3. We generously (Acts 2:45-46)
4. We connect gladly (Acts 2:46-47)
5. We daily (Acts 2:47)

Lord, Revive Us Again!
