  • Head, Heart, and Hand Questions
  • Personal Prayer Requests
  • SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS

WARM UP: What’s the best team/group you’ve ever been a part of? What made it that way?

HEAD: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.

    1. Last week, Pastor Peter used the phrase “always maturing together”. Review Ephesians 4:11-16. Stop and notice every reference to maturity and maturity together.

    2. Can you find any reference at all to individual “personal” growth in this passage? Is that significant?
    3. HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.

      1. In the sermon, Pastor Steve highlighted two aspects of always maturing together, the first was:
        1. What only God can do. (Ephesians 2:1-4, John 15:5)
          1. In what situations do you trust yourself more than you trust God?
          2. In what situations do you delight in focusing on what only God can do?
      2. The second was:
        1. A deepening commitment to love. (John 15:12, 1 Peter 1:22)
          1. Do you find yourself growing in openness/depth with others?
          2. What excuses do you use to keep people at a distance?

HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.

      1. We’ve been focusing on “always maturing together” for two Sundays now. What do you believe is the most important area of growth the Holy Spirit is pointing you towards?
