2021 Bible Reading Plan
Do you want to read through the New Testament, but have a hard time knowing where to start or how to keep going? Follow along with TrueNorth’s Bible Reading Plan. Together we will walk through the entire New Testament in 2021. Our plan is designed so that you only read one chapter during the week and a short selection from Psalms or Proverbs on the weekends. Our hope is to foster a daily encounter with God, both individually and as a church family, while enjoying one of the greatest gifts we have, God’s Word.
You can pick up a copy of the TrueNorth Bible Reading Plan on campus, download a digital copy from our website here, or follow along through the digital resource on the TrueNorth App.
We are selling Bibles if you’d like to read through the plan in a non-digital format. Slimlines are avaiable for $10 and LifeApp Study Bibles are available (limited stock) for $50. Both are the NLT version.
Current Series - Be the Branch
A new year is filled with the hope of New Year’s resolutions that we believe will bring change in our lives. Unfortunately, research tells us that less than 8% of people stick to those resolutions during the year. But what if the resource of new life and change wasn’t us, but God? In John 15, Jesus said, “I am the vine and you are the branches.” Purpose, power and peace are provided by the vine. We are simply asked to “be the branch.” Join us in January as we discover how we can live the life we were made to live!
January 7: Shepeard Blood Drive
Join us this Thursday between 10am-7pm as we host a community blood drive. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be 16 years old (with a signed parental consent form), and have a photo ID to donate.
Shepeard could not support our 20 local hospitals without your help, and they are in desperate need of supply. We strongly encourage you to donate if possible. Appointments are recommended, but not required. Email info@shepeardblood.org to reserve your time today!
January 11: Perspectives Begins
Perspectives will take you on a journey, looking in-depth at the biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic aspects of God’s global plan to reconcile every nation, tribe, people, and tongue to Himself. Our Associate Pastor, Gene Jennings, will be one of the instructors.
More information and registration for the 15-week course can be found here.
January 18: Divorce Care, Financial Peace University, and Grief Share Classes Begin
Gather resources and learn biblical approaches to dealing with divorce, finances, and grief at these classes. Each class will be held at 7pm on Mondays beginning January 18. More information, including registration, will be available next week.
