Lyrics and Scriptures for Worship – August 21/22, 2021
Christ Is Risen
Verse 1:
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
For I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave
Verse 2:
The prodigal is welcomed home
The sinner now a saint
For the God who died came back to life
And everything has changed
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave
Pre-Chorus:
O death, where is your sting
O fear, where is your power
The mighty King of kings has disarmed you
Delivered and redeemed, eternal life is ours
O praise His name forever
Chorus:
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave
And all throughout eternity
Our song will be the same
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave
Verse 3:
And on the day You call me in
To heaven’s sweet embrace
I’ll see Your scars, Your open arms
The beauty of Your face
Through tears of joy
I’ll lift my voice in everlasting praise
Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave

Romans 14:7-9 (NASB)
For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; for if we live, we
live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore, whether we live or
die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be
Lord both of the dead and of the living.
My Worth is Not in What I Own
Verse 1:
My worth is not in what I own
Not in the strength of flesh and bone
But in the costly wounds of love
At the cross
Verse 2:
My worth is not in skill or name
In win or lose in pride or shame
But in the blood of Christ that flowed
At the cross
Chorus:
I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure, Wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him, no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone
Verse 3:
As summer flowers, we fade and die
Fame, youth, and beauty hurry by
But life eternal calls to us at the cross
Verse 4:
I will not boast in wealth or might
Or human wisdom’s fleeting light
But I will boast in knowing Christ at the cross
Verse 5:
Two wonders here that I confess
My worth and my unworthiness
My value fixed my ransom paid at the cross

Revelation 5:11-14 (NASB)
Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and
the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of
myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom
and might and honor and glory and blessing.”
And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth
and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying,
“To him who sits on the throne, and to the lamb, be blessing and honor and
glory and dominion forever and ever.”
And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and
worshiped.
Build My Life
Verse 1:
Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Verse 2:
Jesus, the name above every other name
Jesus, the only one who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You, we live for You
Chorus:
Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me
Bridge:
I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken

Let the righteousness of God
Be a holy flame that burns
Let the saving love of Christ
Be the measure of our lives
We believe You’re all to us
Verse 2:
Only Son of God sent from heaven
Hope and mercy at the cross
You are everything, You’re the promise
Jesus, You are all to us

You’re all to us
You’re all to us
You are

Sermon Notes for August 21/22, 2021
The ABC’s of Loving Those With Differing Opinions
Romans 14
I. The Background to Chapter 14
II. The Principles of Chapter 14
A. Accept one another rather than judge one another, 14:1-4.
B. Be fully convinced in your own mind, 14:5-9.
C. Consider the Judgment Seat of God, 14:10-12.
2 Cor. 5:9-10 – Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
D. Don’t cause a weaker Christian to stumble, 14:13-18.
1 Cor. 8:9 – But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.
E. Encourage one another in peace, 14:19-21.
F. Faithlessness is sin, 14:22-23.
A Final Application:
